Hi, I’m Celeste Bell. I’m so glad you stopped by. This is the spot where I get to tell you a little about myself and my blog. I could give you a timeline of my life, but I’m on the back end of middle age and that’s a long timeline. So, let me give you a quick blog-style bio.
8 Things You Need to Know About Me
- I am married to my sweet husband, Doug, and we have two adult children, a son and a married daughter. No grandchildren. Yet.
- I have had 20 jobs in my life. I’ve only been let go once when the business was going under and they let the most recent hire go first. We moved several times because…
- My husband and I met while we were both in the United States Air Force. I served for almost eight years. My husband served 21 years and retired. How could I serve eight years in the military and still have 20 jobs? Good question.
- I have lived in Indiana, Texas, Greece, Maryland, Panama, Nebraska, and now near St. Louis, Missouri. We live in a smaller suburban home and dream of a large farm house.
- I have degrees in Music Education and Speech Language Pathology. I loved the study of both fields. I didn’t enjoy working in schools. At one point, I was deciding between Interior Design or becoming an SLP. Oh well!
- Home decor is a passion of mine. I find the spirit is willing, but the wallet is weak. Therefore, I need to make smart, lasting decisions about my home.
- I love to sing. Singing is the closest we humans can get to flying. Singing is the best.
- My faith is the central core of my life. Who I decide to be is conditional upon what I believe my God wants me to be. Being perfect isn’t my goal, living in loving obedience is.
Given the above list, this blog will be full of stories from various experiences, how to create a beautiful yet small home, and thoughts on my faith under the heading “Joy Reflections”.
Please take some time to comment on the posts so that I can get to know you too.
